Cette partie de rivière du Gardon en Cévennes a été arpentée des centaines de fois depuis l'enfance. J’avais conscience de la beauté de cette eau vive et de son espace ripisylve sans savoir exactement comment les photographier. C’est seulement maintenant avec un regard aguerri et plus mature que je peux les saisir. C’est ce que j’ai tenté de réaliser ici, en une matinée d’un été, avec une caméra au format Super 8 ayant appartenu à mon grand-père.

I have walked this stretch of the Gardon River in the Cévennes hundreds of times since childhood. I was aware of the beauty of its rushing water and its riparian landscape, without really knowing how to photograph them. Only now, with a more seasoned and mature eye, can I truly capture them. This is what I tried to accomplish here, on a summer morning, using a Super 8 camera that once belonged to my grandfather.
